Tu Casa En El Fin Del Mundo, located at Cabo de Hornos 4009, Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, is responsible for processing personal data collected through this website and the booking process.

We collect the following personal data:

• Identification data: full name, document type and number (ID/passport), nationality, date of birth.
• Contact data: email, phone, WhatsApp.
• Stay data: check-in/check-out dates, number of guests, room preferences, estimated arrival/departure times.
• Payment data: processed entirely by the chosen platform (Mercado Pago, OpenPay) — we do not store card data.
• Browsing data: through cookies and analytics tools (see section 9).
• Booking history: previous bookings, preferences, reviews.

Data is used for:

• Managing and confirming bookings.
• Communicating before, during, and after the stay (email, WhatsApp).
• Sending accommodation information (digital guestbook with access instructions, WiFi, house manual).
• Sending marketing communications (offers, availability, news) — always with an unsubscribe option (see section 12).
• Complying with legal and tax obligations (AFIP electronic invoicing, guest registration — see section 10).
• Feeding our Revenue Management system to adjust rates based on demand and occupancy (aggregated and anonymized data).
• Drafting, with AI assistance, response drafts to guest reviews, and generating descriptive text (alt text) and translations for our units' photos (see section 11).
• Improving our services and guest experience.

Processing is based on the execution of the accommodation contract and, where applicable, on the consent of the data subject. The pre-check-in guest register (section 10) and electronic invoicing are additionally based on compliance with the legal obligations imposed on us by tourist accommodation and tax (AFIP/ARCA) regulations. The use of artificial intelligence on review text and photos (section 11) is based on our legitimate interest in improving the quality and accessibility of published information, always processing any personal data present in that content in anonymized form before sending it to the provider.

Data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill its purpose and for the period required by applicable legal obligations (generally 5 years for tax records). Pre-check-in guest register data is retained for the specific period described in section 10.

We do not sell or share data with third parties for commercial purposes. We only share information with:

• Mercado Pago / OpenPay: payment processing.
• Airbnb / Booking.com: when the booking originates on those platforms.
• AFIP (ARCA): electronic invoicing as required by Argentine tax law.
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram): anonymized browsing data through Facebook Pixel for advertising campaign measurement.
• Google (GTM, Fonts): site usage analytics and font loading.
• CloudPano: 360° virtual tour service integrated in accommodation listings.
• Groq (United States): artificial intelligence provider that processes, under our instructions and as a data processor, guest review text (previously anonymized, with no names or contact data) and photographs of our units, solely for the purpose described in section 11. Groq states it does not use this data to train its models and does not retain it beyond processing each request. As this provider is located outside Argentina, this disclosure constitutes an international data transfer, which we carry out by strictly limiting the information sent (never guest contact data) and requiring the provider to maintain an adequate level of protection.
• Competent authorities: when required by law.

Under Argentine Law 25.326 on Personal Data Protection, you have the right to access, rectify, update, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data (rights known as ARCO: Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition), free of charge, at the intervals set by law.

To exercise these rights, write to us at contacto@tucasaenelfindelmundo.com.ar stating your full name and the data or processing activity you wish to raise. We will respond within the timeframes established by applicable regulations.

The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP), Argentina's data protection authority, is the enforcement body for Law 25.326. If you believe we did not respond satisfactorily to your request, you may file a complaint with the AAIP (www.argentina.gob.ar/aaip).

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures. Payment data is processed directly by Mercado Pago and is never stored on our servers.

This site uses the following technologies:

• Session cookies: necessary for site operation (login, language, booking cart). Deleted when you close the browser.
• Google Tag Manager (GTM): manages the loading of analytics scripts. Does not collect personal data on its own.
• Facebook Pixel (Meta): used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on Facebook/Instagram. Collects anonymized browsing data. You can disable Facebook tracking from your Facebook account settings.
• Cloudflare: security and performance provider. May place technical cookies to protect the site.

We do not sell or share browsing data with third-party advertising networks. You can block cookies from your browser settings, though some site features may not work properly.

As a tourist accommodation, we are required by applicable tourist accommodation regulations to keep a register of every person staying with us, including minors.

To comply with this requirement, before your arrival we send you, by email and/or WhatsApp, a personal, single-use link ("pre-check-in") where you can enter the details of each member of your group. The link is protected by its own access key (the last name of the person who made the booking) so that only you and whoever you share the link with can complete it.

• Data requested: first name, last name, document type and number, nationality, and date of birth for each guest (for minors: first name, last name, and date of birth). The primary guest's email and phone are not editable from this form.
• Purpose: solely to comply with the guest register required from the property under applicable tourism regulations. This data is not used for marketing and is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
• Data controller: Tu Casa En El Fin Del Mundo (Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego), under the same terms as section 1.
• Retention period: the period required by applicable tourist accommodation regulations.
• Rights: you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, and deletion over this data the same way as any other personal data (see section 7), by writing to contacto@tucasaenelfindelmundo.com.ar. If you need to correct the primary guest's email or phone, please contact us directly via WhatsApp — it cannot be edited from the pre-check-in form for security reasons.

We use an artificial intelligence service (provider Groq, based in the United States) in two internal processes, always with human review before any output is published:

• Review reply drafts. When you leave a review on Google, Airbnb, or Booking, we may use the text of your review to automatically generate a draft host reply. Before being sent to the AI provider, the text is processed to remove your name and any contact data (email, phone, document number) it may contain. The resulting draft is always reviewed, edited, and approved by a member of our team before publication — the AI never publishes anything on its own.
• Descriptive text (alt text) and photo translations. We use AI to generate accessible descriptions (alt text, for people using screen readers) and Spanish/Portuguese translations of our units' photos and text. These photos show the physical spaces of the accommodation — they do not contain identifiable people or guest personal data.

What we don't do: we do not send the AI provider your full name, email, phone, document number, payment data, or tax information. We do not use AI for automated decisions that affect you (for example, it is not used to approve or reject bookings, or to set individualized rates). The provider states it does not train its models with the information we send it and does not retain it beyond what is necessary to process each request.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the quality, accessibility, and speed of our communication with guests and prospective guests, weighed against the minimal personal data exposure involved (anonymized data, not retained by the provider).

All our marketing communications include a digitally signed unsubscribe link, unique to your email address. Clicking it takes you to a confirmation page before the unsubscribe is processed — this prevents automated tools used by email providers (which sometimes visit links in an email as soon as it arrives) from unsubscribing you without your action.

Once confirmed, your email stops receiving marketing communications (offers, availability, news). This does not affect operational communications related to an active booking (confirmations, check-in reminders, invoices), which we continue to send because they are necessary to fulfill the accommodation contract.
